New provincial EV Rebate Program provides $2,500 incentive for eligible applicants
September 1, 2021
Are you considering an all-electric vehicle? With our new EV Rebate Program, now you can save $2,500 on the purchase or lease of an EV. That means you can save up to $7,500 when you combine our rebate with current federal incentives for the purchase of a new EV.
The program, which is an initiative of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, was announced today at Hydro Place in St. John’s.
Youʼll feel great driving an EV, knowing that you are contributing to a greener future for Newfoundland and Labrador. Youʼll feel even better knowing that the majority of the electricity used to charge your vehicle comes from our provinceʼs clean, renewable energy sources. And, electricity is cleaner and cheaper than gas. A 400 km road trip in your EV would cost less than $10 at todayʼs electricity rates if you charged at home! And with 14 public fast-charging stations available from St. Johnʼs to Port aux Basques, itʼs easier than ever to charge on the go. You can drive across the island without ever having to worry about where to plug in next.
Get your rebate and hit the road! To learn more or apply online, visit Electric Vehicle Rebate.
