Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising that Unit 2 at the Holyrood plant was taken offline shortly after midnight due to an oil leak.

As Unit 3 is also offline due to annual maintenance, the combustion turbine was brought online to ensure sufficient reserves.

Crews are on site completing repairs and Unit 2 is expected to be returned to service this morning.

There are no anticipated customer impacts and no customer action is required; however Hydro will provide updates if anything changes.
