Residents, cabin owners and travelers are advised of potential controlled water releases in the following locations, due to high water levels from recent snow melt and forecasted rainfall.

– In the Jackson’s Arm and White Bay area on Newfoundland’s Great Northern Peninsula, NL Hydro may be required to release water at the Cat Arm Spillway into the Cat Arm River.

– In the Star Lake area (central Newfoundland), NL Hydro may be required to resume releases of water at the Star Lake Spillway into Star Brook and Beothuk Lake.

Please be aware and use these areas with great caution, as water levels and flows may be higher than normal and unpredictable. Releases may begin at any time.
