Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising residents, cabin owners and travelers in the Star Lake area of Central Newfoundland that due to high reservoir water levels from recent rainfall, the Company is releasing water at the Star Lake Spillway into Star Brook and Beothuk Lake.
The Company is continuing to release water in the Hinds Lake area of Western Newfoundland at the Hinds Lake Spillway through Hinds Brook into Grand Lake.
People are advised to use these areas with great caution as water levels and flows will be higher than normal and may be unpredictable.

Residents, cabin owners and travellers in the Star Lake area of Central Newfoundland are advised that due to high reservoir water levels from recent rainfall, Hydro may be required to release water at the Star Lake Spillway into Star Brook and Beothuk Lake, Releases may begin at any time in the coming days.
Hydro is continuing to release water in the Hinds Lake of Western Newfoundland at the Hinds Lake Spillway through Hinks Brook into Grand Lake.
Please use these areas with great caution as water levels and flows will be higher than normal and may be unpredictable.

The Company is continuing to release water in the Hinds Lake area of Western Newfoundland at the Hinds Lake Spillway through Hinds Brook into Grand Lake.
