Public Notice: Canadian Navigable Waters Act

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro hereby gives notice that a submission has been added to the Common Project Search (online registry) pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act described herein and it’s description.
Pursuant to paragraph 4.1 and 9.1 of the said Act, Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Common Project Search Registry (https://common-project-search.canada.ca/) and under registry number 12918, a description of the following work:
- Drilling of 7 boreholes on the Churchill River, Labrador, from an anchored barge. Boreholes will be drilled, one at a time, with a rotary drill rig set up on the barge as part of the Lower Churchill Project geotechnical investigations at the Gull Island Site. The proposed locations are near the middle of the river, upstream from Gull Island.
