January 20, 2013, 8:00 a.m. – Newfoundland & Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is continuing its efforts today to restore power to all customers on Fogo Island.
Following an outage at approximately 3:30 p.m. yesterday, crews were dispatched to site to investigate but could not determine the exact cause of the outage. Line crews will complete a patrol of the distribution system by helicopter and by ground this morning.
An expected restoration time will be provided once crews have identified the exact cause of the outage.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
