Hydro is advising customers in St. Brendan’s and Shalloway Cove that power is expected to remain off overnight tonight (December 16, 2025). 

The ferry is not running today and crews are unable to reach the area by helicopter. They plan to be on the first ferry tomorrow so they can assess and make any repairs needed to restore power.

We know that extended outages are difficult for customers. Please stay safe – remember to only operate generators outdoors, use flashlights instead of candles, and check in with your friends and family.
