Update: Power Watch Lifted on Avalon

UPDATE ( 11:30 am):  Please be advised that the Power Watch issued this morning is no longer in effect for the Avalon Peninsula.

Previous Advisory:

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is advising customers that due to the cold weather and high demand on the electricity system, there is a Power Watch in effect this morning for the the Avalon Peninsula.

There is no expected customer impact and no immediate action is required for customers, however the electricity system on the Avalon is being monitored closely. Hydro will advise of any change.

Although a conservation request is not currently in effect, customers are being asked to be prepared to conserve in the event of a status change.
