The Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Mr. François Legault, Premier of Québec, will make a significant announcement tomorrow (Thursday, December 12).

Media are invited to a technical briefing at 11:30 at The Rooms, 9 Bonaventure Ave, St. John’s. Participants can choose an English or French session.

Please note, similar to a provincial budget, once a participant has entered the briefing they will not be permitted to leave or use wireless devices (including phones and smartwatches) prior to the announcement. Lunch will be provided.

The announcement will take place at 2:00 p.m. and will be livestreamed on the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The Premiers will be joined by the Honourable Andrew Parsons, KC, Minister of Industry, Energy, and Technology for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Ms. Christine Fréchette, Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy for the Province of Québec, and Jennifer Williams, President and CEO of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro.
