On July 21, Jennifer Williams held a Safety Stand Down for Hydro employees.

The Safety Stand Down served as an important reminder of our commitment to work hard every day to live our values and support our safety culture. A culture where employees know we have the right processes and protections to keep them safe, where employees feel they can speak up when they see something, and where every person goes home safely to their families each day.

Details were also shared regarding the notice of charges related to the tragic workplace incident at our Holyrood Terminal Station in August 2023, in which our colleague Bill Walsh lost his life. This update reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Safety remains Hydro’s highest priority. Through open communication, learning, and leadership, we continue to strengthen our safety culture and our shared responsibility to ensure everyone returns home safely at the end of each day.
