Here at Hydro we know the importance of having a skilled workforce to help power communities, homes and businesses throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Which is why we are proud to be a part of the new Energy and Electricity Workforce Alliance.

The Energy and Electricity Workforce Alliance, is led by EHRC in partnership with the Energy Council of Canada and the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA). It was announced earlier this month to bring industry leaders and workforce partners together to address workforce challenges and help ensure Canada has the talent needed to support major projects, economic growth and long-term energy security.

This is an important step in ensuring Canada is ready to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead as the energy system continues to expand and modernize. We’re excited to see this great work moving forward – there’s never been a more important time to work together and ensure our electricity system is strong, stable and future-ready.
