The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has approved an additional $35.4 million in funding for the Phase II Early Execution Program, ensuring project activities can continue through December 2026 while the work continues toward full project approval.

The approved funding will support several critical activities during the early execution phase, including equipment milestone payments, internal labour costs, and the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) award. These investments will help maintain project momentum and preparedness as work progresses toward the next stage of approval. By maintaining schedules, supporting key contractual obligations, and enabling ongoing planning and execution activities, the project will be positioned for a successful transition once full approval is received.
