Previous Advisory:
Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is reporting that high winds and stormy weather has caused some downed power lines in the Fogo area.
With poor weather across the island today, Hydro is reminding people to stay clear of downed lines and report immediately by calling our customer call centre at 1-888-737-1296 or the RCMP.
If you see a downed power line, stay back 30 metres and contact Hydro immediately. If your equipment has made contact with a power line, do not attempt to remove the equipment or the line yourself – wait for Hydro personnel to arrive.
Please stay safe today. For more information about power line safety visit www.hydrosafety.ca.
