Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising Upper Lake Melville customers about testing planned for the Labrador Island Link on Thursday, September 12 from 8:30AM-5:00PM.

While we do not expect any customer impact, whenever new equipment is being tested there is always an increased risk of outages. We are advising customers in the area out of an abundance of caution, and are ready to respond in the event of a trip during testing.

Customers in the rest of Labrador and on the island, please be aware that with this type of testing, there is also a potential for underfrequency load shedding which could result in short, but broader outages to our system. Learn more here.
