Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising customers in the Upper Lake Melville area about work planned at the Muskrat Falls switchyard on Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4 from 8AM-4PM each day. This work is required as we continue to investigate and troubleshoot issues that caused brief outages to customers across the province last week.

While we do not expect any customer impact, due to the nature of the work being carried out there is an increased risk for customers in the Upper Lake Melville area.

In the event of an equipment trip during this work, there may be a brief outage (less than 30 minutes) for customers in that region. Customers on the island and in Labrador West would not be impacted.

We’ll be monitoring the system closely and will keep customers informed if any issues arise. Thank you for your understanding as our crews carry out this work.
