Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising residents in the Grand Falls area of road upgrades and drainage improvement work happening on Goodyear’s North Access Road starting September 22nd and expected until the end of November, 2025.

We ask that community members using the walking trail during this time exercise extra caution, specifically near the North Gate, due to ongoing heavy equipment operation and truck traffic in the area. The Goodyear’s North Access Road will remain restricted to the public during this time.

This work is part of the Goodyear’s Life Extension Project that will help to ensure continued safe and reliable energy generation at the Grand Falls Hydroelectric plant.
