Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is no longer releasing water in the Hinds Lake area and there is currently no further plan to spill.

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising residents, cabin owners and travellers that controlled water releases are occurring in the Hinds Lake area of western Newfoundland.  Hydro is releasing water at the Hinds Lake Power Canal Overflow Spillway through Hinds Lake Brook into Grand Lake. Please use these areas with great caution as water levels and flows are unpredictable.
