Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is advising residents, cabin owners and travellers in the Burnt Pond and White Bear River areas of Central and Southern Newfoundland that the Company will be releasing water at its Burnt Dam Spillway into the White Bear River in the afternoon on October 5, 2017, for the purpose of testing one of the spillway gates. People are advised to use the White Bear River area with great caution as water levels and flows will be higher than normal and unpredictable.
