Release at Paradise River Diesel Plant Contained

At 3:15 pm (ADT) on Friday, April 8, spring thaw caused a water drain-off valve to become loose at the Paradise River Diesel Plant. As a result a mixture of water and approximately 460 liters of fuel was released and immediately contained. No fuel was released into the river. Crews removed contaminated snow and slush and absorbent pads and booms were placed on the ground to remove any product. Stakeholders in the area have been notified and further remediation will take place Saturday morning.

The health and safety of our employees and the public continues to be our number one priority. We will provide an update if there is a change in the situation.
