Public Safety Advisory Goose Pond Dam (December 31, 2013) 

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro Public Safety Advisory

December 31, 2013 – Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is issuing a public advisory to residents, cabin owners and travelers in the area of Goose Pond, located near Howley inWestern Newfoundland.

Through the normal operation of the Hinds Lake Generating Facility, there may be an increase in water flow downstream of the Goose Pond Dam until the end of March, 2014.

The public is advised to use caution when in the vicinity of Goose Pond and Little Goose Pond and associated/connected waterways.
