Public Safety Advisory – Goose Pond area

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is asking residents, cabin owners and travellers to be careful in the area of Goose Pond, located near Howley in Western Newfoundland.

Through the normal operation of the Hinds Lake Generating Facility, there may be an increase in water flow downstream of the Goose Pond Dam until the end of October. The public is advised to use caution when in the vicinity of Goose Pond and Little Goose Pond and associated/connected waterways.
