Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising residents, cabin owners and travellers in the Star Lake and Upper Salmon areas of Central Newfoundland that the Company has begun to release water in some areas, and may begin to release water at others.

The Company continues to release water at the Star Lake Spillway into Star Brook and then Red
Indian Lake.

The Company may begin to release water from its North Salmon Dam spillway into the North Salmon River.

People are advised to use reservoir areas with great caution as water levels and flows are unpredictable.
