Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising residents, cottage owners and travellers of a controlled water release starting on Wednesday, April 22nd in the North and South Twin Lake area in Northeastern Newfoundland.

Hydro advises of a controlled water release at the North and South Twin Lake spillway structures. This will result in higher than normal flows and water levels in North Twin and South Twin Brooks, the Badger Lake system (Crooked Lake, Paul’s Lake, and Joe’s Lake) and Badger Brook.

People are advised to use these areas with great caution as water levels and flows will be unpredictable.
