UPDATE: PUBLIC NOTICE: Line work beginning near Churchill Falls, Wednesday, September 6th

On Wednesday, September 6th, crews began to dismantle the first 50km of transmission line L1301 and its structures. We will be extending the work zone an additional 50km to the east of Churchill Falls (a total distance of 100km). This is a line that is no longer required.

Public travelling in the area may see an increase in traffic including heavy equipment and trailers. Please use caution if you are travelling in the area and follow the guidance of onsite traffic control.

This work is expected to take place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily into November, as weather permits, and resume in the new year. We will provide updates on the schedule.

There is no risk to public safety and no impact to power supply or Hydro operations.
