Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is advising the community of Rigolet that many customers may remain without power over night.

A diesel unit was damaged in the storm and crews are unable to travel to make repairs until the weather clears and it is safe.

As stormy weather persists, Hydro reminds customers to please implement measures to stay safe if they experience outages. Safety information can be found at hydrosafety.ca and GetPrepared.gc.ca.
