April 9, 2015 – UPDATE 11:50AM-

Power was restored for all customers in Natuashish at 11:05AM Labrador Time.  Thank you to our customers for their patience as our crews worked as quickly and safely as possible to repair the diesel unit.

 

April 9 – 2015 – UPDATE 7:50 AM – Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is experiencing power outages in Natuashish.

One Unit is offline for scheduled maintenance and is unavailable.  A second unit is experiencing issues and is unable to provide power.

Half the town is able to be served by the two remaining units.  Power is unable to be rotated due to the cold load.

Crews are on the way, and updates will be provided when they arrive.

Customers can help by conserving energy.  Please turn back heat a couple of degrees, avoid use of hot water and appliances and turn off unnecessary lighting.
