UPDATE – 11:15 A.M.

Following further investigation this morning, our crew also identified a tree that had fallen on the power line as a result of the high winds and severe weather conditions last night. Crews are on site making necessary repairs and expect to have power restored for all customers by noon today.

Previous Advisory

November 2, 2020 – 11:30 PM: Hydro is advising our customers in Westport, Purbecks Cove and Flatwater Pond that power will remain off overnight.

Investigation by our crew indicates the outage is caused by issues with electrical equipment in the area that is operated by Newfoundland Power. Unfortunately additional crews are unable to travel to the area until morning, but will complete a full assessment at first light tomorrow. An update on restoration time will be available at that time.
