Hydro would like to advise customers in Labrador West of an upcoming scheduled power outage for the region.

WHEN: Sunday, June 9, 2019 from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

WHO: All customers in Labrador City, Wabush and surrounding areas (including IOC and Tacora Resources)

This planned outage is required in order to perform important annual maintenance work on electricity equipment at the terminal station in Wabush and on the distribution system.

We understand the impact that this interruption has on customers and we thank you for your patience. Hydro’s annual maintenance season generally begins in April, when electricity demand starts to decline, and extends to November in preparation for winter, and it is critical to ensuring necessary maintenance work is completed to provide safe, reliable service.
