Hydro is advising members of the public and users of the Exploits River that, to allow maintenance work on the Grand Falls hydroelectric generating units, there will be a reduction in the amount of water being released from Millertown dam, resulting in lower than normal flows in the river.

This will begin August 29 and last for approximately 5 weeks.

Please be aware of river conditions and use these areas with caution, as water levels and flows will be lower than normal and may be unpredictable. And, always avoid getting too close to dams and other hydroelectric structures.
