Retro Hydro: Transmission Line Crew 1966

A snap of the line crew that worked on the 832 km high-voltage transmission lines built in 1966 to connect St. John’s, Bay d’Espoir, Grand Falls, Corner Brook and Stephenville. This formed the backbone of the provincial electricity grid, allowing distribution of power and playing a key role in rural electrification efforts.
