As we head into the height of winter, when power demand is at its highest, Hydro is implementing its Advance Notification Protocol in Labrador East.

This power alert system has been in place for several years on the Island and is designed to keep you better informed about power in your region.  Here’s how it works.

There are three notification levels – Power Watch, Power Warning and Power Emergency.  When there’s supply trouble on the system, we’ll start with a Power Watch to alert customers, keep them informed and help them prepare.  You’ll see the following shared on our social media sites.
