Update – Equipment Advisory: Upcoming transmission line work, Avalon Peninsula

Update:

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is advising customers that annual maintenance on the transmission line from Sunnyside to Come by Chance has been rescheduled to June 13 and 14.

There is no anticipated customer impact as a result of this work. This advisory is part of our commitment to keep customers informed on the status of the provincial electricity system.



Previous Advisory:

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) wishes to advise customers about upcoming work on two transmission lines servicing the Avalon Peninsula.

The transmission line running from Western Avalon to Come by Chance will be offline from approximately 9 am – 3 pm on June 8th to complete annual maintenance work.

The transmission line from Sunnyside to Come by Chance will be offline daily from 8 am – 8 pm on June 12 and 13. This line will be out of service for annual maintenance and to allow crews to string transmission wire in the area for the new line currently under construction from Bay d’Espoir to the Avalon Peninsula.

There is no anticipated customer impact as a result of this work. This advisory is part of our commitment to keep customers informed on the status of the provincial electricity system.
