Update (Mar. 14, 4:00 p.m.) – The transmission line between Come by Chance and Western Avalon has been returned to service.

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising that one of the transmission lines servicing the Avalon Peninsula (between Come by Chance and Western Avalon) is offline. Crews are currently patrolling the line to investigate the cause.

There is no anticipated impact to residential customers as a result of this equipment outage, however it is always recommended that customers be prepared for power outages.  The Avalon Peninsula is serviced by another, parallel line which remains in service.
