Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is advising of planned maintenance activities on Holyrood Unit 3. A piece of equipment maintenance is being performed and is expected to take approximately 24 hours.  The Unit will be returned to service on Sunday, April 10.

There is no impact to customers as a result of this work. Avalon generation reserves are strong and fully able to meet customer needs. All planned system outages are evaluated to eliminate or minimize potential customer impact.

Hydro’s maintenance program is part of the Company’s mandate to invest in the province’s electricity system to ensure delivery of safe and reliable electricity for customers.
