Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is advising that Unit 2 at the Holyrood Thermal Generating Station has been taken offline for additional inspection and repairs.

Reserves are forecasted to be adequate over the coming days. All other generating units on the Avalon Peninsula, including the two other thermal generating units at the Holyrood plant, as well as the combustion turbine, are fully available for service. As a result, there is no anticipated customer impact due to this work. Hydro will be monitoring the electricity system closely and will advise of any changes.
