Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising that a generating unit (Unit 2) at the Holyrood Thermal Generating Station will be removed from service this evening  to complete maintenance work. The unit is expected to be returned to service on April 23.

Generation reserves are sufficient and there is no customer impact as a result of this work.

This advisory is part of Hydro’s commitment to keep customers informed on the status of the electricity system.
