UPDATE:  Unit 1 was returned to service on July 17.

July 15 – Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is advising that Unit 1 at the Holyrood Thermal Generating Station will be offline for a period of 2-3 days  to complete a repair.

Generation reserves are sufficient and there is no customer impact as a result of this work.  If there are any changes to the status of the electricity system, Hydro will notify customers.
