Update March 12 – Holyrood Unit 1 was successfully restored to service at approximately 5PM on Sunday evening.

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising that Unit 1 at the Holyrood Thermal Generating Station is offline.  The unit tripped offline when a St. John’s transmission line tripped due to the extreme wind and weather conditions being experienced in the province.

There is no customer impact as a result of this unit being offline.  Updates will  be provided through our website and social media channels.
