Hydro is advising that two units at the Bay d’Espoir hydroelectric generation facility will be removed from service in order for transmission related repair work to be completed. This planned outage is scheduled to take place overnight tonight into Monday morning (Jan. 29), from approximately 12:00 a.m. to 5:oo a.m.

There are no anticipated customer impacts as a result of this equipment outage.

Meanwhile, Unit #1 at the Holyrood thermal generating station remains offline as required maintenance is ongoing.

This advisory is part of Hydro’s commitment to keep customers informed on the status of the electricity system.
