Customers in the Happy Valley Goose Bay area are advised of emergency work on equipment in Churchill Falls occurring overnight Tuesday (November 29) into Wednesday (November 30). This work is required for Churchill Falls crews to make an emergency repair which is critical for customer reliability.

In order to minimize the likelihood of a customer outage, external crews are being brought in to complete this work while keeping the lines energized.

Therefore, while this work is not anticipated to impact customers – as a precautionary measure, we are informing customers and asking you to prepare for the possibility of an overnight outage.

In the event that a customer outage is required, the following feeders have been identified. Back up generation will be used to supply other HVGB customers. *Please note that if there is a trip or unforeseen issue during the work, all customers in HVGB will be impacted until back up generation is in place.
