EV Rebate Program Application
The EV Rebate Program offers the following rebates to eligible individuals, businesses, not-for-profit organizations and municipalities:
- $2,500 for the purchase or lease (minimum 48 months) of a new or pre-owned 100% battery-electric vehicle (BEV).
- $1,500 for the purchase or lease (minimum 48 months) of a new or pre-owned plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV).
Please note that vehicles must be purchased from a licensed vehicle dealership located in Newfoundland and Labrador and registered for use within Newfoundland and Labrador. Person-to-person sales that do not include a vendor are not eligible.
Rebates are available on a first come, first serve basis to approved applicants. Funding is limited, so be sure to get your application in quickly. Rebates are available for eligible 100% all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles purchased or leased between April 1, 2023 and March 15, 2025. Vehicles purchased outside of the province between April 1, 2023 and March 15, 2025 are no longer eligible for a rebate.

How to Complete this Application Form
Once you have purchased your EV, complete the application form below, filling in all required fields.
When you have completed the form, upload supporting documents as required. Submit your application by selecting “Submit Rebate Application Now” at the bottom of this page.
Note: The rebate cheque will be mailed to the address provided.
Email is the preferred form of communication and will speed up processing of your rebate. If you do not have an email address, you may list the email of a family member. If listed below, you are authorizing us to communicate with them on your behalf.
Applications that do not include all required information could result in a processing delay and possible denial of your application.
