On Peak and Off-Peak Periods
The winter on-peak period is to be 7 am to 10 pm Monday to Friday (Newfoundland Time) for the months of December to March and the non-winter peak period is 8 am to 10 pm Monday to Friday (Newfoundland Time) for the period April to November. The off-peak period will include all other hours.
Hydro will not be providing a monthly forecast of the non-firm rates. Customers availing of the non-firm rate are encouraged to conduct their own market analysis and risk assessment.
On December 19, 2023 in Order NO. P.U. 34(2023), the Board of Commissioners for Public Utilities (“Board”) approved Hydro’s application of a rate for non-firm service in Labrador. As per the Board Order, the non-firm rate is effective March 1, 2024.
