UPDATE: Public Advisory – Release of water at Star Lake; potential releases at Burnt Pond and White Bear River

Update December 12th
Hydro is advising residents, cabin owners and travellers in the Star Lake area in Central Newfoundland that water is being released at Star Lake Spillway into Star Brook and then Red Indian Lake because of heavy rainfall in the area.
There is also potential for releases at the Burnt Pond and White Bear River areas of Central and Southern Newfoundland at the Burnt Dam Spillway into the White Bear River.
People are advised to use these areas with great caution as water levels and flows are higher than normal and may be unpredictable.

People are advised to use all reservoir areas with great caution as water levels and flows are higher than normal and may be unpredictable.

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising residents, cabin owners and travellers in the Star Lake area in Central Newfoundland that there is a potential for release of water at Star Lake Spillway into Star Brook and then Red Indian Lake because of forecasted heavy rainfall.
People are advised to use all reservoir areas with great caution as water levels and flows are higher than normal and may be unpredictable.

Residents, cabin owners and travellers are advised that Hydro continues to release water in the Star Lake area in Central Newfoundland at Star Lake Spillway into Star Brook and then Red Indian Lake.
