Advisory: Potential Controlled Water Releases At Cat Arm

June 19th, 2019

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising residents, cabin owners and travellers on Newfoundland’s Great Northern Peninsula that the company may soon be releasing water in the Jackson’s Arm and White Bay area. Heavy rain is expected this Friday and Saturday, which will likely lead to a requirement for Hydro to begin releasing water at the Cat Arm Spillway into the Cat Arm River. Hydro is advising people to use these areas with great caution as water levels and flows are unpredictable.
