Hydro is advising of a planned outage affecting all of Sheshatshiu, North West River and the 5 Wing Goose Bay base. (Please see detailed list below)

In an effort to reduce the impact on customers, the outage is scheduled for the overnight hours from 1:00 a.m. – 4:00 a.m. this Friday, October 29.

The work is completed at Churchill Falls, which requires the main transmission line serving Upper Lake Melville to come offline. Backup generation will be used to provide power to most customers. However, the areas noted will be without power during this time as electricity demand is greater than backup units can provide.
