Methylmercury Monitoring

Methylmercury Monitoring on the Lower Churchill Project

In October 2016, Amec Foster Wheeler was engaged to undertake water and sediment sampling – a program which includes baseline, impoundment  and post-impoundment sampling of water and sediment at 11 locations from upstream of the Muskrat Falls reservoir to Rigolet.

As per the Water Quality Monitoring Plan our teams collect water samples on a regular basis and the raw data collected can be found on the Provincial Government Environment and Climate Change page.

Public Advisory (May 19): Controlled water release at Star Lake with potential for controlled water release at Upper Salmon and Granite Canal areas
