Fish Habitat Compensation
Fish Habitat Compensation on the Lower Churchill Project
In accordance with Section 35 of the Fisheries Act, we are required to ensure compensation for altered fish habitats as a result of the project. In consultation with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, we have developed a Fish Habitat Compensation Plan for the lower Churchill River which includes the creation and enhancement of spawning habitats at river deltas and shoals, in addition to habitats provided by the reservoir.
