Equipment Advisory (UPDATED) – Holyrood Units and CT

Update

All generation units at the Holyrood plant (Units 1, 2, 3 and the combustion turbine) are available for service.

Update December 15

Unit 2 has been taken offline until December 17  to complete an additional piece of work.  Units 1 and 3 and the combustion turbine are available.

 

Update Dec 13

Unit 1 has been returned to service as scheduled.  Units 2 and 3 and the combustion turbine are also available for service.

 

Update Dec 11

Advising that Unit 1 will be offline for two days for final maintenance completion.  Units 2 and 3 and the combustion turbine are also available for service.

Nov 26 – Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is advising that Unit 2 at the Holyrood Thermal Generating Station has been taken offline today for additional maintenance.  It will be offline for a period of 2 days.

Units 1 and 3 are online and available to the system

Hydro has sufficient generation reserves and there is no customer impact from this equipment outage.

Hydro’s equipment maintenance is a critical part of ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable electricity service to customers. All planned system outages are evaluated to eliminate or minimize potential customer impacts.

Any changes to the status of the electricity system and or any significant system events will be communicated to customers.
